Installation of ALHAR WALL System
Materials for Professionals
We start the installation process by applying Alhar Wall system adhesive on the edges and in the middle section of the board. Even distribution of the adhesive across the entire surface is crucial to ensure a solid attachment of the board to the wall without any unwanted gaps.
We mount the boards closely next to each other, ensuring a tight fit. The boards are equipped with interlocking tabs that allow for precise alignment, thus eliminating the formation of thermal bridges.
Attention should be paid to ensure that the styrofoam surface forms a smooth plane.
The boards should be drilled at designated locations. Recesses for mounting plug plates are evenly distributed on the board surface. These recesses prevent the plugs from protruding above the board's plane, which would significantly complicate the installation of clinker tiles.
We place the plugs into the holes and firmly hammer them in. The styrofoam surface is thoroughly coated with Alhar Wall bonding bridge to enhance adhesive adhesion.
The first method involves applying adhesive to the styrofoam surface, smoothing it with a trowel, and then placing the tiles on the adhesive.
The second method involves applying adhesive mortar to the clinker tiles and then attaching them to the styrofoam surface.
We use dedicated grout mortar, which is also part of the Alhar Wall system, for grouting. We apply the grout using a semi-dry method with a grout float. Start by filling in the horizontal gaps.
The final step in the system installation is cleaning the clinker tiles from any grout residue and allowing the entire system to dry completely.
